Interview with: Ralf Michael Skirr Joe: What made you decide to purchase Hypnotic Selling Secrets? Ralf: When you first offered your Hypnotic Selling Secrets Course my business partner and I were close to losing our business and all our money. We knew that our main problem was marketing.  I knew you from before having read your Ebooks and some articles, so I was sure that this course without a doubt would contain proven and tested strategies. What was most important to me was the sheer abundance of material the HSS (Hypnotic Selling Secrets) course offered. Our business-marketing was bad, bad, bad.  And I knew to totally turn our marketing around I would have to really immerse myself into this stuff. So getting Videos, Audios, Ebooks and the absolutely priceless swipe files seemed to be a perfect chance for us. So I got really excited about that and I ordered the HSS Package. Today I can say: It really over-delivered. It's usefulness and richness in ideas is much more than I expected. From all the marketing material that I have bought over the years (and believe me, I really spent some thousand dollars) your Hypnotic Selling Secrets Course is the only one that I use constantly. I have it ready at my desk. Joe: What were some of the strategies you learned that you implemented into your business right away?      Ralf: Most businesses display all products together in a shop system. So did we. Now we totally changed our approach and started using the one-page-salesletter-method you teach in Hypotic Selling Secrets. I did the same thing with our newsletter subscription form. Before I studied HSS, our Newsletter subscription was a small box on the left hand side at our homepage. It still is there, but now we added a single webpage that has the sole purpose of selling the newsletter and now from many places we send visitors to that page. Joe: How much has HSS been worth to you and your business since your purchase?      Ralf: Since we had a troubled time switching between different businesses, I cannot analyze to what extend our income has changed in relation to using the course. There's one thing I know for sure: The HSS (Hypnotic Selling Secrets) Course totally changed the way I write.  We actually do see measurable response changes at the pages I improved using this material. They alone are worth the price of the whole course.  But at that time I did not know how valuable they are. They are not about learning something. Instead I can put them to use immediately all the time when I’m writing something important. For me the swipe files are for sure the most used item of the course. Next most used item are the audios. I'm going to the gym 3 to 5 times a week and I always try to make additional use of the time. The audios are perfect for that.  By the way: I also copy your podcast etc. to cd to hear it at the gym.  This is such an easy way to delve in to the material and by that to adopt the mindset of hypnotic marketing. And while I'm writing this your Hynotic Writing Master Training DVDs is on the TV! Joe: What would you say to someone if they were thinking about getting HSS?      Ralf: I would say Buy it and USE IT AGAIN AND AGAIN. It's usefulness grows like compounded interest in a millionaires bank account. After you implemented the first ideas you can pick any of the material and will discover new ideas that you haven't seen before. And the more you use the swipe files, the more efficient you will be able to write your most engaging copy in less time than ever before. I really love those swipe files, they are useful with every single text I write. They not only spice up your sales copy, but as well any other text you consider being important. From all the marketing material that I bought over the years, and believe me, I really spent a few thousand dollars, the Hypnotic Selling Secrets Course is the only one that I use over and over again. And so should you, it's worth it! Joe: Is there anything that you would like to add?      Ralf: 18 months ago my business partner and I were in a terrible situation: We had invested a lot of money in our company, but although we did have some work, it wasn't earning enough to even pay for the company's expenses, not to talk about paying for our living. We were sponsored by family and friends to even have something to eat. In a desperate attempt to find out if there was or was not a market for our product, we sent out 300 sales letters to 300 attractive companies in our local area. We actually had a response quote of 1%. Those were the 3 people calling or writing to tell us that they were NOT interested in our service. This is no joke. At that point we really panicked. Not knowing how to raise any money we quickly started to open 3 NEW BUSINESSES. Let's offer cheap web design, maybe someone who needs a homepage gives us 300 bucks ... Let's do some affiliate websites ... Let´s make some software and sell it.  Today I can't believe how stupid and hysteric we acted. Our products had great quality, so I knew our only problem was marketing. This is when you offered the Hypnotic Selling Secrets Course for the first time. Although we couldn't afford it at the time, it seemed to deliver exactly what we were missing and what kept us from earning money. And it did. I had to borrow my best friends credit card to order it because my bank had cancelled my own credit card!  In 2005 I lived with HSS and started applying it to our new businesses. I have reserved a special drawer in my desk for the manuals, so they are always at hand.  This as I call it the "Mr. Fire Drawer" is definitely the most orderly place in my office. I used HSS (Hypnotic Selling Secrets) to write the copy for our new websites and our business finally began to prosper. It´s difficult to know what would have happened without your HSS Course, but what I know is that we earned about 36.000 Euros in the second half of 2005 which is 34.000 more than in the first half of the year and which really saved us. But wait! Do you expect this to be a happy ending? It is not, well not yet. Now again we found ourselves in deep trouble. Since all of this was created out of panic and fear, we were now working day and night six to seven days a week doing work we practically HATED. Here´s the good news:  Meanwhile we decided to close these panic-businesses, to stop working for others, which we did with our multimedia and website-services and to start doing what we really want to do. Next week, form April 11 to April 15, I will be recording my first audio-cd product. I´m so excited about it! And here´s an interesting point: Have you ever considered, how useful this HSS material can be when you´re about to START a business? Four days ago, while I was at the gym, I made use of the time and listened to the Dan Kennedy Interview. It is on CD 9 of disc set 3.  So I listened to you and Dan, and Dan Kennedy made a point that immediately brought up an Idea in my mind, which, I believe, will at least double my sales. So having this material at hand when you start something new gives you even more power to make things right from the start. So, why did I add this information? What I want to tell you, Joe, is that this product is not just about earning money. One might not expect this form marketing material, but it really changed my life. I wanted to be a writer for years, but my natural writing was absolutely boring. I found my own writing so bad that I actually pictured my readers with their heads knocking at the table. I just did not know, how to write in a way, that keeps readers nailed to the page, how to write in a way, that makes my readers really FEEL something (except from feeling the pain when the head knocks at the table.) Studying your material again and again accomplished this for me. I still need practice, but now I have the feeling I have the confidence that I am able to do what I dreamed about for 25 years. Money loves speed you say. So do dreams, I say. I won´t wait another 25 years till I'm perfect, but I just said goodbye to my old businesses and start living my dreams right away. And the good thing about HSS is, it not only made this happen, it also delivered the marketing know-how to make it more real from a business point of view. I really want to thank you for this and I also want to tell you, that I love what you're doing outside of marketing.
